Writing Our Place: Nature Stories Close to Home
Join us for a Saturday workshop that explores creative writing through the lens of the natural world. Together, we’ll learn approachable tips and techniques for writing about nature—how to observe closely, evoke sensory detail, and craft personal stories rooted in place. Using the Salt Lake Public Library’s gardens and beehives as our inspiration, participants will spend time noticing, reflecting, and transforming real‑world encounters with outdoor nature spaces into meaningful writing. No prior experience is needed—just curiosity, a willingness to slow down, and an interest in discovering how nature can enrich your storytelling.
